As the holiday season approaches, Google is offering a welcome boost to users of its Google Chrome browser.
Indeed,
an official announcement reveals that the browser is now rolling out a series of new features designed to
streamline the most repetitive tasks . If you’re tired of endless forms, impossible-to-find phone numbers, and having to provide details every time you travel, this update should make your future online experiences much easier.
In other words, the next time you need to complete your shopping, plan a trip, or book a service,
you should spend less time on it thanks to Google Chrome…
With this update, Google Chrome first strengthens its link with users’ Google accounts.
When creating an account on a website, making a reservation or placing an order , the browser can now instantly access information associated with your profile, such as your name, email address, and your personal and professional addresses.
The update also marks a significant step forward thanks to deeper integration with Google Wallet . Data that previously required searching through an email or even a physical wallet, such as a loyalty card number, flight information, or vehicle details, is now automatically offered at the appropriate time.
In practical terms, Google Chrome can detect a form and adapt accordingly. For example, for air travel, it can fill in your flight details saved in Wallet, including the confirmation number and arrival date. The same applies to loyalty cards, which are filled out effortlessly so you never miss out on earning points.
On Android, Google is also modernizing the autofill suggestions interface. The entries displayed above the keyboard are now presented on two lines, making it easier to select them when juggling multiple addresses, passwords, or payment methods. This change, while seemingly minor, is actually designed to reduce errors and speed up the process.
Google is also improving address recognition in many countries. Specific formats, such as ” between two streets ” directions in Mexico or, soon, phonetic names in Japan, are now better understood and filled in accurately.
Google Chrome thus offers a more consistent, faster, and better-adapted experience for each user. This helps reduce friction, especially when forms are piling up
